A restaurant inside a house? Yes! We are located inside a charming old house that was built in 1904. We have kept everything original to the house as much as possible, which means our space is very unique and smaller than most restaurants you've probably been to - our kitchen is smaller than most residential kitchens! With such limited space, we run things a bit differently to be sure that you have a great time here! We are counter-service with waitstaff, so you order and pay at the counter BEFORE finding a table where we will serve you! Having everyone order and pay first means that our limited number of tables are not held up waiting for orders to be taken or checks to be brought out, so even if we are very busy, there WILL be a table available by the time you have ordered. Operating this way, it is very rare that we should ever have to wait for a table to open. For this reason we ask that you please do not reserve tables while the rest of your party is in line.
So, How does it work? When you come in the front door, take a left and head on back to the counter area where you'll order and pay first, then grab drinks before finding a table appropriate for the number of people in your group. We will give you a playing card to place on the table you choose - the playing card is how we find you when we bring your food, so place it where we can see it! Our servers will bring your food and any condiments or drink refills you need, and are there to answer any questions you may have. Eat, drink and relax! When you're done, just leave any dishes on the table - we will bus them for you.
Do you take reservations? We are first come, first served. We can get pretty busy, and we don't have enough room inside for a designated waiting area, so the wait in line to order at the counter works best for our small space. For this reason, we are not able to reserve tables, however, the line usually moves fast!
Do you have vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free options? All of the above! We can make almost anything vegetarian. Ask a server for our vegan menu or about gluten-free options. Please note that we are not a gluten-free kitchen, and do not have the space to use separate surfaces for gluten-free orders.
Do you have a kids menu? We do! Click on the MENU tab to see the kids menu. We also serve most breakfast items and sides a la carte.
Can you accommodate large groups? Because we aren't able to take reservations, groups of 6 or more may have to split up depending on how busy we are. Usually, large groups are able to sit near each other if not at the same table. Feel free to call us with any questions! Please ask a server before moving any furniture.
Are you handicap accessible? Yes!
Do you allow pets? Leashed pets are welcome in any of our outdoor seating areas.
Can I call in a to-go order? ABSOLUTELY! Call it in, and if there is a line when you come to pick up your order, no need to wait - just come around to the counter to pay!
Do you deliver? Unfortunately we do not have delivery drivers.
Do you have a private room for parties? Not during our regular hours (7:30a.m.-2:00p.m.), but we do use our space to host private events after 3:00p.m.! Call us for food and drink options and pricing!
Do you sell your jam or house-made vanilla bean syrup? Yes! You can find the jam as well as local honey, hats, and shirts for all ages on the shelf to the left of the register, or ask your server! The vanilla bean syrup is sold by the pint with 24-hours advance notice so that we can make it for you.
Where do I park? We have a small lot behind the building and street parking out front. There is also a gravel lot across the street, and a public parking area behind the Suntrust bank.
